Role Summary / Purpose

The Shipping Specialist

Control Solutions will hold a key role in our business, helping us to meet quarterly shipping deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction through quality packing and shipping of our product.

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping activities with outside suppliers
• Prepare paperwork or online routing system and make arrangements for shipments
• Lead the effort to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of the shipping procedures
• Interface daily with internal customers to meet business objectives and external customer requirements
• Provide shipment quotations
• Package product for shipment and coordinate crating with third party vendor
• Maintain packaging material inventory
• Provide support and backup for Receiving and Stockroom departments -Document shipments in our business management system (SAP)
• Accept personal responsibility for compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
• Responsible for export compliance (ECCN, HTS, COO, etc) and maintain the master file
• Responsible for Dangerous Goods compliance and coordination with EHS on all chemical issues
• Prepare system generated and manual commercial invoices
• Resolve customs issues
• Manage triangular shipments (i.e. Client UK shipment being picked up at Nippon Express and delivered to Saudi Arabia)
• Complete international shipment activities related to Certificates of Origin, NAFTA, letters of credit, customs, export regulations, and packing lists.

Qualifications / Requirements -High school diploma or international equivalent

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

• Proficient with computers, including Windows environment and
• Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Office)
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to use hand and power tools for packaging and moving product
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

Desired Characteristics

• Associate's degree or higher in a technical discipline
• Customer service experience
• Logistics and Import / Export experience -Familiarity with SAP based systems
• Experience using ERP systems
• Familiarity of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within logistics
• Work Traits -Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proven ability to adapt to change
• Flexible and effective under changing conditions and with different tasks,
